HUNTING PRESERVE:
As a hunting preserve, we are open from late August to late April (weather permitting) while supplies last.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS: **NOTE: A small game license is no longer required. It was deregulated in 2019.**
Anyone wishing to hunt small game must have the following:
Pre-booking is required with a preference of 48 hours advance notice. Same day or next day may be possible depending upon availability.
A 25% deposit may be required on large hunts and/or hunts booked more than 3 weeks in advance.
Payment is due in full prior to the start of each hunt. Credit cards are NOT accepted, however, payment may be made in full via cash at time of hunt or e-transfer should be sent to [email protected] and received the day prior to the hunt.
Corporate cheques will also be accepted if agreed upon at time of booking.
Hunters are welcome to bring their own hunting dogs with them. For those who do not have their own hunting dogs, it is strongly recommended that you take advantage of the guide/dog services that are offered. It is very challenging to have a successful hunt with only one or two people and no dog. As always, it is your choice as how to proceed.
PRICING 2024/2025
Availability may change depending upon time of year.
A group of hunters may purchase a combination of birds. For example, a group of 3 hunters may purchase 8 pheasants and 6 chukars to meet the minimum per hunter requirement.
Hunts are broken into mornings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and afternoons from 1 p.m. until dark. Full day hunts are available for larger groups and/or larger volumes of birds.
Bulk hunting rates may be available for large hunts. Please call for further information.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Hunts may be cancelled up to 7 days prior to your hunt. Within the 7 days prior to the hunt, hunts may be cancelled on a case-by-case basis.
WEATHER-RELATED CANCELLATIONS CAN BE REVIEWED THE DAY PRIOR TO YOUR HUNT. The weather forecast is not accurate 7 days or even 3 days out. No refunds will be issued, however, in case of inclement weather, a credit will be maintained and a new date set.
GUIDING SERVICE 2024/2025 (includes handler and dog)
Guiding service is available upon request.
Rates are $100 for up to a 3 hour hunt with 1-4 hunters; Maximum of 5 people per guide/dog. 5 people - $125. Six or more people require a double guide. Additional time may be purchased for $25/hour.
**GIFT CERTIFICATES**
Gift certificates can be purchased for Christmas, Birthdays, Holidays or "just because". Payment is due at time of purchase and can include a guided or non-guided hunt at posted rates. Certificates are valid during the hunting season and have no expiry date.
This makes a great gift for young and old alike.

- Outdoors Card;
- PLUS You also need to be aware of the requirement to have completed the Hunter's Education Course;
- While we are not required to ask you for it, should you be stopped by our local Game Warden or the OPP, you must be able to provide proof that you have completed the course. This would include being able to show any current license (deer, moose, bear etc.) OR even any expired license. The ministry wants to know that at some time you have completed a Hunter Education safety course as per Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources Guidelines 2019 (page 91).
